The tower crane mast section is an important part of a tower crane, so it occupies a very important position in the entire tower crane. It is normally made up of lattice modules that facilitate the transport of the crane. For mounting, these modules will be attached using screws, all of which will be attached at the projected height. Its shape and dimension vary according to the necessary characteristics of weight and height.
In the upper part of the mast is the rotation zone that gives the crane a horizontal movement of 360º.
The tower crane mast section can be divided into Overall structure mast section and Detachable mast section according to whether it can be split
The characteristics of these two forms are as follows
● The Overall structure mast section of tower are installed and dismantled integrally, easy for connection, and safe and reliable in operation.
● The Detachable mast section of tower are of leaf type to reduce space of shipment and storage, thus to decrease the cost of shipment and storage
